Knowing Monique always wanted a wedding at the Metropolis overlooking the stunning Melbourne skyline, Josh secretly planned this whole thing with the amazing Metropolis Events team, along with a select group of friends & family, to throw her a surprise she will never forget!
And of course she said Yes, suspecting something was amiss the moment they stepped in through the front doors, under the guise of checking out the view on the balcony. And what a view it was, overlooking the banks of the Yarra River with the iconic Flinders Street Station & St. Paul’s Cathedral providing the perfect backdrop as Josh dropped on one knee & asked Monique to marry him!
As friends & family emerged from their hiding spots to congratulate the newly engaged couple, the celebrations continued with a small intimate dinner by candlelight, specially prepared by Metropolis during this unprecedented time with Covid-19 restrictions on large gatherings.
While I can’t wait for restrictions on wedding celebrations to be lifted, I accept things may take awhile to go back to normal & small intimate celebrations like this could be the way forward for many couples.
